Singer Darlyn Morais Dies At 28 After Being Bitten By Spider

28-year-old Brazilian singer, Darlyn Morais has tragically passed away due to complications arising from a spider bite to his face.

It was gatrhered that Darlyn Morais fell ill following a spider bite at his residence in the northeastern city of Miranorte on October 31.

The singer’s 18-year-old stepdaughter also suffered a spider bite but is currently in stable condition and receiving medical care, according to Morais’ wife, Jhullyenny Lisboa, as reported by the Brazilian news outlet G1.

Lisboa mentioned that Morais experienced symptoms such as body fatigue, and the color of the bruise on his face began to change after the spider bite.

Later in the week, Morais developed allergic reactions, prompting a visit to a hospital in Miranorte, where he received treatment and was discharged on Friday.

Subsequently, he felt weakness in his body, and his face darkened on the same day of the spider bite. He was then admitted to Palmas General Hospital that Sunday.

Darlyn Morais was known for his contributions to forró, a popular music genre in Brazil’s northeast region characterized by the accordion, zabumba, and metal triangle. His musical journey included a small band comprising his brother and a friend.

He was renowned for his jovial and generous personality, as noted by his cousin Wesleya Silva, who described him as always cheerful, smiling, and having a big heart, constantly assisting those around him.

Morais, who had a six-year-old daughter and a one-year-old son with his wife, had plans to perform a live show in January 2024, which was scheduled to be recorded and released on DVD.

The singer’s friend Samuel Zhytor, who disclosed this, emphasized Morais’ popularity in the region and his commitment to supporting others within and outside the state.
