Nigerian singer, Moshood Adeola, popularly known as Hotkid, has been arrested by the police in connection with an alleged N10 million scam.
Confirming his arrest on Instagram stories, Hotkid declared his innocence, claiming that a music promoter exploited his name to defraud people by promising them performances from him.
The singer, who stressed that he had no involvement in the purported scam, shared screenshots of messages from individuals claiming to be victims of the scam.
Expressing his discontent, Hotkid issued a stern warning to the music promoter, giving a 24-hour ultimatum to repay the funds collected from the victims.
He wrote, “Wanted! He IS A THIEF! I’m giving you just 24hours to pay up the lady and everyone else you collected money from in my name!!! Else you’d hate yourself.
“Accumulatively Collected over 10million naira from different people! They came to arrest me for money I had no idea about!!!! Because of this @brave_t.tey OLOSHI OLORIBURUKU!!!!! Naso people Dey enter wahala wey no be their own oo IMAGINE!”
