Tyla Laura Seethal, better known as Tyla, a South African singer, has finally responded to rumours that she is dating Nigerian Afrobeats star Rema.
In the latest episode of the We Need To Talk podcast, the ‘Water’ singer said Rema is just a “friend.”
She clarified that the viral photo of them holding hands that sparked the dating rumours was taken after she attended a concert by the Afrobeats star.
“We’re just friends,” Rema says. I attended his performance and he happened to hold my hand. And, of course, people will always interpret it in their own way.

“He is not my boyfriend,” I say. He’s not my type.”
Tyla recently mentioned Rema in an interview with Apple Music, according to reports.
