Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has commented about Thomas Partey and Takehiro Tomiyasu’s availability for Thursday’s Premier League encounter against West Ham.
Arteta told reporters today that both would not compete in the London Derby.
Partey is said to have returned to training and will make his first appearance since the 1-0 win over Manchester City on October 8 on social media.
There is also doubt regarding whether Partey or Tomiyasu will play for Arsenal before departing on international duty next month.
Partey is likely to play for Ghana in the Africa Cup of Nations, while Tomiyasu will represent Japan in the Asian Cup.
“We’re not going to have those two (Partey and Tomiyasu), then we have Kai [Havertz] suspended,” Arteta remarked.
“So I think we’re gonna have five out, but we have lots of other players willing to play.”
Kanyidaily recalls that Arteta gave injury update on Saka, Saliba, Trossard ahead of next clash.
