Afrobeats superstar, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has rejected a foreign delicacy in favor of Nigerian dishes.

Burna Boy Rejects Cauliflower Cheese, Requests For Jollof Rice, Eba And Egusi [Video]

Burna Boy brought a touch of humor to a recent food-tasting interview with LADbible, where he was presented with a variety of Nigerian and British dishes for tasting.

In the first round, Jollof rice and cauliflower cheese graced the table. Burna Boy made a memorable statement by outrightly rejecting the cauliflower cheese, expressing his dislike for its taste without even trying it, emphasizing that it did not appeal to his palate.

Moving on to the second round, the choices were Pot noodles and eba with egusi soup. Burna Boy sampled the pot noodles and suggested that a special sauce would enhance its flavor to complement the Jollof Rice which he declared as his favorite dish.

Instead of merely sampling the egusi soup, Burna Boy went all in – he unwrapped the eba, grabbed a spoon, and immersed it into the soup, savoring each spoonful. Hungry and enthusiastic, he insisted not to have the food taken away, mentioning that he hadn’t eaten all day.

As the interview progressed through other rounds of meals, Burna Boy eventually requested the return of the eba and egusi soup before the end of the show, playfully asserting that Nigerian cuisine emerged victorious.
