A Federal High Court has ordered the freezing of 24 Kano State Government bank accounts.
This comes as a result of its failure to adhere to a court ruling to pay N30 billion in compensation to victims of the Filling Idi Demolition exercise.

Justice E. A Ekwo, the presiding judge, has instructed the Kano State Government to appear in court on January 18 to provide a credible explanation for the freezing of N30 billion in the impacted bank accounts.
The funds are meant to be allocated to the Incorporated Trustees of Masallacin Eid Shop Owners
