Divine intervention only way to end insecurity in Zamfara- Sen Yari
The former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari firmly believes that the sole remedy for the prevalent banditry in the State lies in divine intervention.
Yari, currently serving as a Senator representing the Zamfara West Senatorial Zone, revealed this while at his residence in Talata Mafara
According to him, most residents have diverted from the divine and holy messages in the Qur’an and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, emphasizing the absolute need for brotherhood and selflessness.
“Imagine how most of the people are living ungodly lives in the society, they lack human feelings, they stopped being good even to their families and neighbors, to the employers and both the governments, religious and traditional leaders”, he lamented.
“Should we all drop wickedness and other religiously prohibited attitudes, I am certain that Almighty Allah will seize over his punishments we are currently suffering in our dear state and nation at large.”
The Senator lamented that every attempt by governments, be it through force or dialogue, to suppress banditry has failed. He stated that the situation is rapidly declining, making it impossible for people to run their legitimate businesses, and engage in farming, trading, or other means of livelihood.
He also mentioned that the difficult situations people endure result from a lack of attention given to agriculture.
Kanyi Daily recalls that the Department of State Services (DSS) had reportedly arrested and detained Senator Abdulaziz Yari after allegedly ignoring multiple phone calls from President Bola Tinubu.
