Lukman issued this warning during a Wednesday press briefing in Abuja
briefing ahead of the launching of his new book scheduled for next Tuesday.

He emphasized that in the absence of measures to address the country’s issues, the party might encounter internal discord or rebellion.

The APC leader expressed regret that life was becoming increasingly challenging under a party that was originally envisioned as a progressive

Lukman said, “Life is becoming more difficult. We must appeal to our leaders that things are almost getting out of hand at the rate at which we are going under a party that is envisioned to be progressive.

We are likely going to start witnessing rebellion if care is not taken by 2027. We will be kicked out of office, which means taking Nigeria back to where it was in 2015. I think we owe our leader the responsibility or President Asiwaju the responsibility to tell him the truth.”

Lukman further mentioned that following his resignation from the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party, he chose to document his experiences during the struggle that led to the rise of President Bola Tinubu.

He stated that despite implications in some quarters, he did not engage in opposition against Tinubu.

Instead, he held a strong belief in his responsibility to truthfully inform the President of the circumstances, irrespective of any assumptions.

Kanyi Daily recalls that Salihu Lukman, had sheds light on Bola Tinubu’s seamless emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate for the 2023 elections.
