Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has joined Rema’s fans and colleagues in wishing him a speedy recovery.
The ‘Calm Down’ crooner, who was originally set to visit Lagos, Abuja, and Benin, told newsmen that he will not be performing anywhere this December due to health considerations.
Governor Obeseki responded on Thursday via his X (previously Twitter) page, saying the people of Edo are proud of Rema and will support him every step of the way.
He stated that the Edo-born’s incredible feats, including as selling out London’s O2 Arena and amassing 1.6 billion Spotify streams this year, not only demonstrate his exceptional talent but also serve as a wake-up call for young creatives.
