Nigerian comedian, Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, popularly known as Mr Jollof, has taken to social media to express his disappointment with singer Duncan Mighty.
It was gathered that Duncan Mighty allegedly failed to fulfill his commitment to perform at Mr Jollof’s concert in Warri, Delta State, despite receiving a payment of N3 million.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, Mr Jollof revealed that he paid the singer N2 million as a booking fee and an additional N1 million for logistics.
Despite extending the duration of the concert until 3 am, Duncan Mighty did not show up, leaving Mr Jollof dissatisfied.
While explaining the situation, the comedian said that he sent Duncan Mighty his account details for a refund after the event ended.
The comedian expressed his frustration, noting that Duncan Mighty only refunded N800,000 instead of the full amount.
Mr Jollof urged those close to the singer to advise him to refund the remaining balance.
He said, “After the show closed around 3:27 am, I sent Duncan Mighty a video, informing him that the event has ended that he should turn back and I sent him my account details to refund me.
“When I woke up the next day, I saw an alert of N800,000 from Duncan Mighty instead of the N3 million I gave him. Anyone close to him should advise him to refund me in full.”
Mr Jollof also called out DJ Barbie for a similar incident, claiming she did not appear at the event despite receiving a payment of N600,000.
When Mr Jollof requested a refund, DJ Barbie allegedly blocked him on social media, accusing him of bullying.
Sharing the video, he wrote: “@duncanmighty you really see me finish but you see that my money I go collect am.”
