Nasty C names his Top 5 Nigerian rappers

Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo, alias Nasty C, a well-known South African hip-hop artist, has named his top five Nigerian rappers.

The ‘Coolest Kid In Africa’ crooner listed legends such as M.I Abaga, Olamide, and Phyno, as well as newcomers such as Odumodublvck and Blaqbonez.

Nasty C was asked to name his favourite five Nigerian rappers in an interview with Glitch Africa, and he said, “My top five Nigerian rappers? I’d like to say M.Olamide, Phyno, I’m number one… Is it evident from here [Nigeria]? Okay, he’s Ghanaian. Damn!

“Yeah, I wanna say Oddy, he played me a lot of his tracks. Odumodublvck for sure, is my number four. And then Blaqbonez. Blaqbonez is my guy. One of my homies had asked me, ‘How do you know this guy [Blaqbonez]?’. I was like I’ve known him for like a couple of years ago. Maybe four years ago.’

“At first, he [Blaqbonez] was someone I just came across with such good energy. He was funny on social media and I like to do that kind of stuff on social media. When I really started listening to his music, I was like, ‘Yo, he is actually hard.’ So, he is definitely my number five.”

Kanyidaily recalls that Nasty C boasted of being on the same level with Jay Z, Drake and other top rappers.
