Nigerian influencer, Ola of Lagos has found himself in the spotlight after his claims were challenged by British entrepreneur, Steve Varsono.
Steve Varsono, the CEO of The Jet Business, came across a video review of an airplane featuring Ola discussing the aircraft’s cost.
In the video, Ola had claimed that the Hawker 900XP jet cost $16 million, a figure Varsono debunked, stressing that the jet is valued at $5 million and is among the oldest and most affordable airplanes globally.
Varsono expressed disappointment with Ola’s inability to provide useful insights into the airplane dashboard components, suggesting that Ola needs to improve his aircraft review skills.
The TikTok video went viral, with netizens flooding the comment section to tease Ola Of Lagos over his unverified claims.
Reacting in a video shared on his TikTok page, Ola denied the allegation of overpricing a private jet he helped advertise.
He clarified that the price of the advertised jet was fixed by the client and not him.
While expressing admiration for Varsona, Ola apologized, explaining that the advert was done a year ago, and he may not have perfected his craft then.
The influencer acknowledged his errors in the early stages of his craft and expressed his commitment to improvement in future reviews.
He also addressed those taking advantage of the situation to criticize his business, emphasizing that the video was a year old and part of his learning process.
A part of his lengthy write-up on TikTok reads: “To the trending video pls watch to the end and understand, thanks sir/ma ❤️.
“Smile. If you follow my story well sir. you’d understa nd “wetin happen” We learn everyday and everything in life is a process.
“This video is a year old and i was just starting to get better in my craft, had so much errors to to get perfected with which was why i couldn’t give the Jet a proper full review but now ‘’stop playing’’ lol…”
