Despite the outrage that greeted their invitation, popular Fuji musician Alabi Pasuma and controversial street-hop talent Portable performed at a celestial church in Lagos.
According to report, the two singers’ invitation had previously sparked controversy on social media after the Lagos-based church announced them as guest artists for their worship night.
Olatosho Oshoffa, Celestial Church pastor, also condemned the development and revealed that he has barred the singers from singing at the praise night.
In response to the outcry, Aderemi Dabiri, the church’s head pastor, declared that he invited secular musicians to win souls for Christ.
Despite the criticism, a video of the two performers performing at the praise night on Friday leaked on the internet.
Pasuma wore a casual shirt and slacks, while Portable dressed in white to comply with the church’s dress code.
He was seen performing passionately his popular song “Zazuu,” with parishioners excitedly joining in, generating an atmosphere of excitement and shared celebration within the church.
