Ubi Franklin, the Chief Executive Officer of Triple MG, has refuted claims surrounding Afrobeats singer Burna Boy’s alleged purchase of a Bugatti W16 Mistral valued at $5 million (N5 billion).
Franklin dismissed the notion that Burna Boy would invest such a significant amount in a depreciating luxury item like a car.
The denial from Ubi Franklin follows a social media uproar triggered by a video shared by international car dealer, Deejay Mzi.
In the video, both the exterior and interior of the Bugatti W16 Mistral were showcased, with Deejay Mzi claiming that the car belonged to Burna Boy.
During an interview with Football Fans TribeHQ, Ubi Franklin expressed skepticism about the news and urged the public to verify information before accepting it.
Franklin stated that he genuinely believes Burna Boy wouldn’t spend his money on a car which worth $5 million (N5 billion).
He said, “I will be very honest with you, I don’t think Burna Boy would buy a car for N5 billion. So go and check it very well.
“Information puts you in formation. So, whenever you see something on the internet, check very well. I’m not saying that Burna Boy doesn’t have the money.
“But I’m saying that Burna Boy would not buy a car; a depreciating asset for N5 billion. It’s not possible.”
