Lawen Bazing, a civil servant, was gruesomely murdered by suspected tricycle robbers in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital
The deceased boarded a commercial tricycle from the Mile Six area over the weekend to the renowned De Crux Nite Club, located 300 meters away from the site of the murder.
After getting off the tricycle, the attackers allegedly assaulted Bazing, stabbing him, robbing his belongings, and then dumping his body into a drainage channel, where it was later discovered.
Confirming the incident, the state’s police spokesperson, Abdullahi Usman, acknowledged being aware of the situation but mentioned that detailed information hadn’t been made available to the command yet.
He stated that the command would probe the incident and capture the perpetrators.
