Nigerian entertainer and media personality, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has made some surprising revelations about his past.

Charly Boy was featured on the latest episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, co-hosted by OAP Nedu, Husband Material, Ezinne, and Toun.

During their conversation, Charly Boy disclosed that he was involved in fraudulent activities, specifically scamming banks, even before the notorious 419 or ‘Yahoo Yahoo’ cyberfraud became popular in Nigeria.

During the podcast, Nedu inquired, “You used to scam banks, and they paid?” to which Charly Boy responded affirmatively, saying, “Yes, of course.”

The veteran entertainer went on to express his admiration for the gay community and shared insights into his rebellious nature.

He revealed that he became a “bad boy” from birth and became a father at the age of sixteen. Remarkably, his first child is now 53 years old.

Charly Boy also opened up about the emotional impact of religion during his childhood, citing that his father played a role in hurting him emotionally through religious influences.

He also recounted how he brought a beautiful woman home, only to be surprised when she returned from the bathroom transformed into a fully grown man.

“I spoil from belle because at 16 I don born. My first son is almost 53. I was scamming banks even before una begin hear of 419, I don do small. My papa, when I dey small he damage me with religion and religiousity,” he said.

KanyiDaily recalls that Charly Boy recently revealed that he does not consume alcohol. He added that he has tried to quit smoking but has struggled with the addiction.
