"We Can't Allow Nigeria To Win AFCON" - Ghana's Kwadwo Sheldon Says [Video]

After Nigeria secured a 1-0 victory against Angola in the AFCON quarter-final on Friday, Kwadwo Sheldon took to his Twitter page to share his sentiments.

In a video, the YouTuber congratulated Nigerians on advancing to the semi-final but quickly conveyed his concern about the prospect of them winning the AFCON trophy.

He emphatically stated that allowing Nigeria to win would be detrimental to Ghanaians, going so far as to say, “If they win the Africa Cup of Nations, we are dead. We are gone.”

Sheldon humorously pointed out the friendly competition between the two nations, using the example of Jollof rice, a popular dish in both countries.

He playfully said that Nigerians couldn’t even prepare Jollof rice properly, and if they were to add the AFCON trophy and Afrobeat to their achievements, the internet would struggle to contain the celebration.

Kwadwo Sheldon said, “Congratulations to Nigerians, they are through to the semi-final of the Africa Cup of Nations. The way the thing they go is like they go win the trophy (sic).

“I dey come tell you people that we can’t allow Nigerians to win the Africa Cup of Nations because if they win the Africa Cup of Nations we are dead. We are gone, he added.

“Jellof rice they no fit cook see how they are dragging it with us. Imagine they add AFCON trophy and Afrobeat. The internet wouldn’t be able to contain us.”
