The facility in Karimo, Phase 3 Region of the FCT, Abuja, was subjected to looting by the residents, who made off with various foodstuffs and other items.

In response to the incident, the police in Abuja dispatched personnel to the location to disperse the looters and ensure the security of the premises.

The FCT Police Command’s spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident, assuring that the situation had been brought under control.

This incident follows widespread grievances among Nigerians due to the removal of fuel subsidies and the devaluation of the naira under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

The resulting economic policies have led to increase in the prices of goods and a surge in inflation rates, contributing to the growing hardship felt by many citizens.
