“Every Good I Did Was Translated With Evil” – Chioma Jasmine Speaks On Mr Ibu’s Death [Video]

Chioma Jasmine Okafor, the adopted daughter of the late Nollywood actor, John Okafor, better known as Mr Ibu, has broken her silence following his death.

KanyiDaily recalls that Mr Ibu passed away on March 2, 2024, a few weeks after returning from the hospital where he underwent a series of surgeries, including the amputation of one of his legs.

In a heartfelt post on her Instagram page, Jasmine reflected on the challenges and pain her father experienced in his last days.

She expressed her heartbreak over the fact that the good deeds she did for him were often misinterpreted as evil, and this negativity was amplified by those who were absent during his challenging times.

Jasmine mentioned that despite the accusations against her, Mr Ibu never spoke ill of her and appreciated her until his last moments.

She said that he had always assured her that when he spoke, the world would listen, but unfortunately, that day would never come due to his untimely death.

Emphasizing that Mr Ibu faced numerous challenges with a smile and underwent 15 successful surgeries, Jasmine said she chose not to mourn his death but to reflect on the pain he had to endure.

She wrote, “Goodnight papa! You will forever be remembered for the love you gave, and the laughter you brought am grateful to God that I was able to give back that love till the very end.

“Despite all that was said, every single good I did was translated to €vil, you always promised me that the day you would speak, the world would listen and that gave me the audacity to carry on.

“Now I am brok€n because that day is never coming, maybe the stories will never end, maybe the bull¥ing will never stop but I know and I’m grateful for the ray of hope you gave me even when you felt hopeless.

“Every single good I did was paid In hundreds folds with €vil , from the hands of the same people who were never really there for you when you needed them the most but Daddy you know what matters the most amidst all these accusations? You never talked down on me, you appreciated me till your very last moment.

“The pains you endured in the last days, you did with a smile, I am not mourning your d€ath, I’m mourning all the pains you had to endure, over 15 successful surgeries, you are indeed a fighter! You fought d€ath severally until its claws successfully overpowered you.

“I hope you find true happiness, peace, and rest in the bosom of God! Make sure God laughs at all your jokes and Angels roll on the floor from every conversation with you… I lost a hero, Heaven gained an Angel. Adieu Papa!!!”.

  • we need not reply to your talks or cries…..everything about Mr ibu deaths and what has been happening with the family will come up alive once he is buried….i know there will be quarrels and fight immediately after the burial.
    so time will tell.
