South African disk jockey (DJ), Black Coffee has recounted his disappointment with his estranged wife, Enhle Mbali.
In a recent interview with Kaya 959, Grammy-winning DJ shared his ex-wife’s reaction to an expensive car he gifted her during their marriage.
Reflecting on the incident, Black Coffee expressed surprise and dismay at Enhle Mbali’s seemingly “ungrateful” response to the lavish gift he presented to her.
He revealed that her subdued reaction left him feeling undervalued and unappreciated despite his sincere efforts to express his love and generosity.
“The response wasn’t what I expected; she wasn’t excited. I expected her to even cry, but she was just like; ‘Oh, nice, thank you.’ And it sat with me heavily for a long time as someone who was not appreciating,” he said.
The revelation sheds light on the drama within their relationship, which ultimately led to the dissolution of their marriage in 2019.
Enhle Mbali had publicly accused Black Coffee of infidelity and abuse during their seven years old marriage.
Black Coffee fathered two children with other women, further contributing to the strain on their relationship and eventual separation.
