Nigerian musician Gabriel Oche Amanyi, better known as Terry G, has boldly declared himself a secular musician who sings for “the devil.”
In a teaser for an upcoming episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, Terry G shared his views on the role of secular music in society, asserting its perceived alignment with glorifying the devil rather than God.
He said, “I am a secular musician. I sing for the devil. We [secular musicians] sing for the devil, we praise the devil. We don’t glorify God.”
The singer also commented on singer Wizkid’s evolving music style, stressing that it may not resonate with a significant portion of the Nigerian audience.
“Wizkid music no dey too relate to us. My colleagues from my set, most of us are illiterates,” Terry G said.
