Chioma Jasmine Okafor, the adopted daughter of the late Nollywood actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has come under fire on social media.

Mr Ibu's Adopted Daughter, Jasmine Accused Of Converting His TikTok Account To Hers

Mr Ibu’s daughter is facing criticism amid allegations that she has taken over the late actor’s TikTok account, which boasted 1.1 million followers, and converted it for personal use.

KanyiDaily recalls that Mr Ibu died on Saturday night, weeks after returning from hospital following successful surgeries that led to amputation of one of his legs.

Following Mr. Ibu’s passing last night, controversy has arisen surrounding the ownership of his TikTok account.

Controversial vlogger Tosin Silverdam, in an Instagram post, accused Jasmine of swiftly rebranding Mr. Ibu’s TikTok account as @LadyJasminec_live and questioned her motives for doing so.

A screenshot shared by Tosin revealed the account already bearing Jasmine’s name and devoid of its original content.

The online community has reacted strongly to the sudden change of ownership and content deletion, with fans of the late actor expressing disappointment and accusing Jasmine of interfering with Mr. Ibu’s legacy.

However, reports indicate that Jasmine had previously set up and managed the TikTok account on Mr. Ibu’s behalf for several years.

Responding to the development, Tosin Silverdam clarified that he did not claim Jasmine changed Mr. Ibu’s TikTok account after his demise.

The vlogger suggested that the alteration occurred while Mr. Ibu was still recovering, possibly because Jasmine felt she had contributed significantly to the account’s growth and management.

He wrote, “I never said Jasmine changed Mr Ibu’s Tiktok account to hers after his demise. She obviously changed it before his death, while he was still recovering.

“I guess she still has access to his accounts, probably she did that because she felt she helped Mr Ibu grew/handled the account and since she’s no longer needed in the family, she decided to claim the account”
