President Bola Tinubu has concluded his two-day state visit to Doha, Qatar, and is en route to Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
Tinubu departed from the Presidential wing of Doha International Airport on Monday morning, with an expected arrival in Abuja later in the evening.
During his visit to Qatar, President Tinubu engaged with investors at the Nigeria-Qatar Business and Investment Forum in Doha on Sunday.
The Nigerian president, alongside His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, oversaw the signing of significant agreements between Nigeria and Qatar.
In a statement on Sunday evening, President Tinubu characterized his visit as a historic moment fostering collaboration and investment opportunities between Nigeria and Qatar.
He highlighted the fruitful discussions with Sheikh Al Thani, emphasizing the potential for mutual growth in areas such as education, enterprise, and youth empowerment.
Tinubu expressed optimism about leveraging the Nigerian people’s potential for prosperity, asserting his administration’s commitment to advancing these goals.
He expressed a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and encouraged Qatari investors to report any officials seeking bribes when considering investments in Nigeria.
