Nigerian songstress, Tiwa Savage has shared insights into her journey to becoming a singer, shedding light on her initial aspirations.
In a recent revelation, Tiwa Savage said she got into music because she had a crush on a “guy” who was always around musicians.
The singer disclosed this during a recent interview with MTV Live while actively promoting her latest movie project, “Water and Garri.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Tiwa Savage recently made her Nollywood debut with her new film “Water and Gari”.
The movie produced by Unbound Studios and its subsidiary JM Films is set to premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
“Water and Garri” which is directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Meji Alabi, is the latest in Prime Video Nigeria’s growing collection of outstanding Nollywood entertainment.
Reflecting on her career, Tiwa Savage revealed that acting held a special place in her heart long before her musical pursuits took center stage.
However, she said her decision to venture into the music industry was significantly influenced by her desire to be close to a man she admired.
She said: “I’ve always wanted to do acting. Acting was one of my first love before music. I got into music because I had a crush on a guy and he was always around the musician so I said ‘yeah, forget acting and just go into music.”
