Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has revealed why he hasn’t publicly mourned his late colleague, Junior Pope.
KanyiDaily recalls that Junior Pope tragically died with three others after a boat carrying them capsized on the Anam River during a movie shoot.
Junior Pope was buried on May 17, 2024 in his hometown of Ukehe in Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State.
On May 21, Yul Edochie took to his Instagram page to explained why he remained silent about Junior Pope’s death until after the burial.
The actor revealed that he considered Junior Pope a brother and friend and had supported him in the past, but felt betrayed by him repeatedly.
Edochie said, “I didn’t want to say anything till after his burial. I know many asked why I wasn’t there. Why I haven’t said anything about it since.
“I took him like a brother and good friend. I was there for him when he needed me. But he stabbed me in the back, repeatedly.
