The charity match, called “NoOnesXTEF,” is organized by the Troost Ekong Foundation and started yesterday, June 2nd, 2024, around 4 PM.

However, it wasn’t the familiar “Arise O’ Compatriots” but the new official anthem “Nigeria, We Hail Thee,” approved by the government.

Many players, with their hands on their chests or behind their backs, could only hum or stay silent.

Sabinus‘ unbothered disposition during the recitation of the anthem was one of the funniest moments captured.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have an international match tomorrow against South Africa, and it remains to be seen how well they have learned the new anthem.
