Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham has revealed the plans President Bola Tinubu shared with her before the 2023 election.
Before the 2023 elections, Toyin Abraham publicly endorsed President Tinubu, revealing that he had shared his plans and aspirations with her, giving her hope for the country’s future.
Amidst the current challenges in the country, Twitter users asked Toyin Abraham about Tinubu’s intentions and urged her to share some of the details.
An X user, Otunba (@ManLikeIcey), asked Toyin to share Tinubu’s plans with the public, insisting that Nigerians deserve to know.
He wrote, “Maybe one day Toyin Abraham will divulge the plans Bola Tinubu shared with her to the public. I strongly believe we deserve to hear. Thank u @toyin_abraham1.”
Toyin responded by saying that during their meeting, she was promised good governance and happiness for all Nigerians.
The actress urged people to stop bullying her because Tinubu’s plans didn’t work out as promised. She wondered why she faced backlash for her political choices.
She wrote, “You asked me in a polite way so I will definitely answer you. Of course, I was told and promised good governance and happiness for everyone and I wish, I believe.
“If things didn’t go well why do I have to be the one to suffer for it because I remember I voted for Jonathan and I was bullied but I didn’t put blame on anyone after everyone choose Buhari. So why would they be curse and trolling me every time. “
Otunba further questioned if she believed President Tinubu had failed in governance.
He wrote, “Thank you for your prompt response. Do you believe he has failed at the moment in governance or not?”
Toyin Abraham replied that she has focused on her life and career, distancing herself from politics, and learned to keep her political choices private.
“I have faced my life and career cos I am not a politician and I’m not in government. I have learnt my lesson never to be open with my choice again,” she responded.
KanyiDaily recalls that Toyin Abraham also got into a confrontation with online critics who were pressuring her to reveal the discussions she had with President Bola Tinubu before the 2023 elections.
