Nollywood actress, Hilda Dokubo has been suspended as the Labour Party Chairperson in Rivers State.
Hilda Dokubo was suspended from her party on Thursday, July 18, by her local ward in Asari Toru Local Government Area.
The suspension was announced in a letter sent to the Labour Party Chairman of Asari Toru LGA, signed by the Ward Chairman Ajalamonia Ibama, Secretary Lole Amacheer, Treasurer Emmanuel Ibamathe.
The letter was also signed by the Women Leader, Osaki Dieypiriye, and the Publicity Secretary, Osaki Dokubo.
Dokubo’s suspension, which took effect on July 15, was confirmed in an emergency meeting of the ward executive committee and approved by the Asari Toru LGA Executives on July 18.
The suspension was based on allegations of financial misconduct, abuse of office, and violations of party rules.
The ward executives stated that their decision was supported by a thorough investigation that uncovered substantial evidence.
