Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, a well-known oil mogul and politician from Anambra, has reportedly died in London.
Ifeanyi Ubah had recently joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) and was planning to run for the governorship of Anambra State.
The lawmaker reportedly flew to the United Kingdom a few weeks ago due to serious illness, but died in a London hospital on Saturday morning, July 27.
Sources say his condition became critical in the past 48 hours, and he ultimately died of cardiac arrest.
Ifeanyi Ubah, who was representing Anambra South Senatorial District, was a former member of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) before his defection to the ruling APC.
There are few details about his death at this time, but it is known that he made a donation to the Anambra APC two days ago.
His death comes just days after the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, also passed away.
