Argentina poked fun at music artist Drake after he lost $300,000 betting that Canada would beat them in the Copa America semi-final on Tuesday.
Argentina used a song by Drake’s rap rival, Kendrick Lamar to mock him after the match on at New York’s MetLife Stadium which witnessed two goals from Lionel Messi and Julián Álvarez.
Drake had posted on Instagram showing that his bet would have earned him $2.88 million if Canada won. However, goals from Alvarez and Messi pushed Argentina into their fourth final in five editions.
In response, Argentina posted a photo with the caption “Not like us,” referencing a diss track by Kendrick Lamar released in May that targeted Drake.
The song has been streamed nearly half a billion times on Spotify, and its music video has over 115 million views on YouTube.
Argentina, aiming for a record 16th Copa America title, will face the winner of the Uruguay vs. Colombia match in the final on Sunday, July 14, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
