The Police Force in Abuja announced the arrest of Ahmed Tailor, who is accused of sponsoring and distributing Russian flags to protesters in Kano State.
Recently, some #EndBadGovernance protesters in Kano have been flying Russian flags, asking the Russian government for help.
Photos of protesters waving Russian flags and a video of tailors making the flags went viral on social media over the weekend.
On Monday, August 5, Security Analyst and Counter Insurgency Expert Zagazola reported that the “DSS arrested Tailor for sewing Russian Federation Flags.”
The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi confirmed the arrest on the police media WhatsApp platform.
