American Hip-hop mogul, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is facing another lawsuit, from singer Dawn Richard, who has accused him of sexual and physical abuse.
According to TMZ, the former Danity Kane member claimed in her suit that Diddy humiliated, terrorized, and sexually abused her.
Dawn Richard also alleged that she witnessed the him physically assault his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.
The singer, who appeared on Diddy’s MTV show “Making the Band” in 2004, stated in court documents that the rapper verbally abused contestants, calling them derogatory names such as “fat,” “ugly,” “bitches,” “hoes,” and other offensive terms.
Richard, 41, further alleged that in 2005, she saw Combs’ late ex-girlfriend, Kim Porter, leave a studio in tears, visibly bruised.
Four years later, Richard said she witnessed Diddy, allegedly under the influence of drugs, violently throw Cassie against a wall, choke her, and drag her up a flight of stairs in his Los Angeles home.
The singer also claimed that Combs once threw a hot pan of eggs at Cassie, shouting, “I’ve been asking you for my s—t; I can’t stand you, bitch, you never do it right!”
She also alleged seeing Diddy punch Cassie and attempt to strangle her with his bare hands inside his LA mansion.
Richard says that when she and her bandmate Kalenna Harper tried to intervene and support Cassie, Diddy threatened them, saying, “Y’all bitches don’t get in my relationship,” “Just make money and shut the f–k up” and “You bitches want to die today?”
The lawsuit also claimex Diddy forced Richard to rehearse for 48 hours straight without sleep, leading to significant weight loss, dehydration, and rashes.
She further alleged that between 2009 and 2011, Diddy sexually assaulted her multiple times by inappropriately touching her in a changing room.
“Mr Combs frequently smacked Ms Richard’s bare buttocks and often commented on her body, noting that although she was ‘too skinny,’ she had an ‘ass,’” the lawsuit reads
Richard also said she witnessed Diddy and other men engaging in non-consensual acts with his former assistant at a hotel pool in Glasgow.
Dawn Richard is seeking compensatory damages for emotional distress, punitive damages, and for Diddy to cover her legal fees.
Diddy is currently facing multiple lawsuits related to allegations of sexual misconduct, which he has denied.
He recently settled a high-profile rape and abuse case with Cassie Ventura shortly after she filed it in November 2023.
In May, video footage of Diddy assaulting Cassie in 2016 was made public, leading him to issue an apology, though he did not directly address her in his statement.
