The Labour Party’s candidate in the Edo State governorship election, Olumide Akpata has lost his polling unit to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Asue Ighodalo.
According to reports from the polling unit, PDP and LP are in a close race, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) lags behind.
Labiur Party’s Olumide Akpata, along with APC’s Senator Monday Okpebholo and PDP’s Asue Ighodalo, are the main contenders in the election.
In Akpata’s own polling unit, located in Oredo LGA, the results were as follows:
- PDP: 41 votes
- Labour Party: 32 votes
- APC: 19 votes
