Emmanuel Odigie, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), broke down in tears during a live interview after his party lost the Edo governorship election on Saturday, September 21.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Monday Okpebholor, defeated PDP’s Asue Ighodalo, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the results on Sunday, September 22.
During an interview on Arise TV on Monday, Emmanuel Odigie could not hold back his tear while expressing his views about the just concluded Edo election.
Odigie, who served as Deputy Director of the PDP’s gubernatorial campaign in Edo, expressed his disappointment with the outcome and accused the APC of election rigging.
The PDP chieftain also claimed that Nigerians who had flown in from the United States to vote for the PDP saw their votes disregarded.
