Nigerian crossdresser, Okuneye Idris, also known as Bobrisky, is currently being held at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Alagbon, Lagos, where he spent the night in a police cell.
A source revealed that Bobrisky was taken to the FCID for safekeeping after being arrested by Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) officers at the Seme border while trying to leave the country.
The source added that officials are awaiting further instructions regarding his case.”
“Bobrisky was brought to the FCID, Alagbon, around 10 p.m. on Monday. Immigration arrested him at Seme Boarder and brought him for safekeeping,” he said.
“He is in detention at the FCID, Alagbon. He was arrested on Sunday, detained overnight, and taken to the FCID, Alagbon, around 10 pm on Monday. He is still at the FCID.”
The FCID spokesperson, Mayegun Aminat, confirmed his detention, saying, “He is detained at FCID Alagbon. He is with us and we are to get a remand to keep him in custody today.”
KanyiDaily recalls that NIS spokesperson Kenneth Udo had said that Bobrisky was arrested because he is considered a person of interest due to ongoing public concerns.
