Spotify is once again breaking new ground by featuring Coldplay on the FC Barcelona jersey for the highly anticipated El Clásico match against Real Madrid on October 26th.
The collaboration marks a continuation of Spotify’s innovative partnership with the club, which has previously spotlighted artists like KAROL G, The Rolling Stones, ROSALÍA, and Drake.
The latest jersey design showcases the logo of Coldplay’s newly released album Moon Music, which debuted at number 1 on Spotify’s global charts. The British band, already the most streamed band on Spotify with 12 tracks in the Spotify Billions Club, is renowned worldwide, and their single “Viva la Vida” is a beloved anthem among FC Barcelona fans, having become the unofficial soundtrack for the club’s iconic 2008-09 season.
The collaboration highlights Coldplay’s unique connection with FC Barcelona and their shared global audience. Coldplay’s logo for Moon Music was even inspired by a design created by a fan, exemplifying the band’s ability to unite people through music, much like football unites fans globally.
Speaking on the partnership, Coldplay expressed their gratitude, stating:
“We’re honored that Spotify has chosen to feature our Moon Music design on the shirt of FC Barcelona. We’ve had a special relationship with the city and the club for many years. We’re also proud to support the UNHCR in their life-saving work to protect refugees and displaced people around the world.”

The limited edition jersey will be available to purchase via the Barça Official Stores in Spain and online on Oct 18 with pre-sale from October 17 at 11.30pm CEST until the physical stores open on Friday 18 October at 10am CEST.
Inspired by FC Barcelona’s founding year, 1,899 jerseys will be released, with a special collection of 22 glow-in-the-dark jerseys—11 signed by the men’s team and 11 by the women’s team. All net proceeds from the jersey sales will go to the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), continuing FC Barcelona’s partnership with the organization that began in 2022.
Additionally, a limited edition lifestyle merchandise collection, including t-shirts, hoodies, and scarves, will be launched, featuring celestial themes from Moon Music and Barça’s iconic colors. A portion of proceeds from the merchandise will also be donated to UNHCR.
Music Meets Football: Coldplay Curates Barça Playlist
As part of this unique collaboration, Coldplay will curate a special edition of Barça’s popular Matchday playlist on Spotify. This playlist, filled with tracks designed to motivate players and fans alike, will serve as the soundtrack leading up to the highly anticipated El Clásico.
FC Barcelona Femení to Don the Coldplay Shirt
In addition to the men’s team, the FC Barcelona Femení will wear the Coldplay-branded jerseys during their Liga F match against Eibar on November 2nd. The shared jersey reflects the power of music and football to bridge different cultures, genders, and experiences, uniting fans across the world under a common passion.
