Controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, was reportedly arrested by the Benin Republic Immigration Service at the Seme border during routine passport checks.
KanyiDaily recalls that VeryDarkMan revealed on October 21, 2024, that Bobrisky was apprehended while attempting to flee from Nigeria to Benin Republic.
A source at the Nigerian-Benin Republic border confirmed the arrest to PREMIUM TIMES, stating, “Bobrisky has been returned to Lagos right now.”
The source further explained that “he was arrested at midnight and detained until this morning, and he’s currently being moved to the Lagos zone of the NIS in Ikeja.”
The Immigration source said that Bobrisky was trying to quietly leave Nigeria when his plan was interrupted.
“He gave his passport to someone to stamp it for him, so, the officer saw the name immediately among others and requested that he should come down from the vehicle,” the source said.
Attempts to reach NIS spokesperson Kenneth Udo for comments were unsuccessful, as phone calls and messages went unanswered.
The exact reason for Bobrisky’s arrest remains unclear. However, circulating photos on Instagram and Twitter, allegedly showing Bobrisky at the time of his arrest, are gaining traction.
