Seun Kuti Apologizes To Femi Falana, Distances Self From VeryDarkMan's Allegation Against Bobrisky [Video]

KanyiDaily recalls that VeryDarkMan recently shared an alleged audio conversation where Bobrisky claimed he spoke with rapper Falz in prison, and that he and his father, Femi Falana, were involved in trying to secure him a presidential pardon for N10 million.

While discussing the audio, VeryDarkMan made a comment that many saw as questioning Falz’s sexual orientation, which sparked further controversy.

Amidst the controversy, Seun Kuti revealed that VeryDarkMan told him about Bobrisky’s alleged bribery plot in the audio before he published it on social media.

Addressing the issue in a new video, the singer said that while he and VeryDarkMan are on good terms, he does not influence VDM’s actions, as the activist tends to do what he feels is right without seeking anyone’s approval.

Seun further clarified that VeryDarkMan only verbally informed him of the Bobrisky audio and that he never heard the content firsthand.

He apologized to Femi Falana, emphasizing that he never intended for VeryDarkMan to defame or insult Falana who was his late father, Fela’s lawyer.

The singer said, ‘’I wasn’t conniving and I did not have any ulterior motive because I am the one that still came out to say he told me before he said it. If I was the one pushing him, I would never have come out to say he told me. I would have been in the shadow. The matter did not concern me and I told him to go and say what he wants to say.

“I am sorry deeply if that offended Uncle Femi., It is really not my intention. I will not in any way, shape or form want to join anybody even VDM to fight Uncle Femi Falana. We have been through a lot. We have come a long way. Left to me, the one that matters to me is the institutional lapses of EFCC taking money to drop money laundering charge. I will never join issues with anybody to try and denigrate, insult or defame.”

Seun also distanced himself from VeryDarkMan’s controversial post, saying, “‘When people are talking and involving me in VDM’s post, am I VDM’s producer? Does he write what he wants to say to me for approval? This thing is surprising to me. In fact, I did not know that when he was going to do his video, he would ad the innuendos…that’s his style. He did not tell me he was going to do all that. Even if I tell him do not do it, he would have done it.”

He mentioned trying to mediate between Falz and VeryDarkMan as he considers both like younger brothers and sought an amicable resolution.

“If two people I take as younger brothers, it is not in my place to take sides. I told him immediately to call Falz to try and sought it out within yourselves. Left to me I would love to see an amicable ending.

“But if that is not the issue, I would not now come outside publicly to start taking sides between the two of them. That means I am escalating things,” Seun Kuti.

Seun Kuti said that he informed VeryDarkMan that Falz was unhappy with the insinuations he made while discussing the audio.
