This weekend, Spotify and Gamr brought the city’s thriving gaming and music communities together in an explosive event, ”Powered by Music”, at the Carven arena within the Landmark Center in Victoria Island, Lagos State.
The event transformed the state-of-the-art venue into a bustling hub of gaming excitement, drawing in Lagos’ gaming enthusiasts, music lovers, media personalities, and influencers for an immersive experience blending console gaming and live music.
Kicking off with a high-energy set by DJ Ace, the event set the tone for a celebration of both classic and contemporary gaming. With fan favorites like Mortal Kombat and new releases such as EAFC 25, Gran Turismo, and NBA 2K25, the event catered to a broad spectrum of gamers, from casual players to hardcore enthusiasts. DJs Titanium and KennyGee followed up with beats that perfectly matched the crowd’s high spirits.
A major highlight of the event was a live performance by Spotify EQUAL Africa artist Qing Madi, whose soulful melodies infused the venue with an electric atmosphere that captivated the audience.
