Social media activist, VeryDarkMan has shared more details about the alleged corruption involving crossdresser Bobrisky’s arrest and six-month prison sentence.
On Monday, October 7, VeryDarkMan shared new call recordings allegedly made by Bobrisky while he was serving time at Kirikiri prison in Lagos.
VeryDarkMan had previously shared the first audio recording in which Bobrisky alleged revealed how he bribed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to have money laundering charges against him dropped.
The recording also hinted that Bobrisky wasn’t in prison but was staying in a private apartment nearby.
The leaked audio quickly went viral, sparking outrage across social media platforms.
In response, EFCC summoned both VeryDarkMan and Bobrisky for further investigation.
In this latest leaked call, reportedly from May 16, 2024, a voice sounding like Bobrisky’s can be heard telling a friend about living in a well-furnished apartment near the prison and how his godfather helped him secure a senior lawyer (SAN).
In the call, Bobrisky admitted to possessing a phone in detention, though he wanted to keep that a secret.
He also revealed that the EFCC had been investigating his finances, and he allegedly paid them off to have the money laundering charges dismissed.
Bobrisky claimed his accounts were frozen not because of illegal activity, but due to the large sums of money in them.
He denied engaging in money laundering but said he had to beg and bribe the EFCC to have the charges dropped.
In the recording, Bobrisky also asks someone to leave the room during the call, leading to speculation that he may have had a personal assistant or maid with him while supposedly in prison.
VeryDarkMan highlighted that Bobrisky’s statement about his frozen accounts contradicts what the EFCC previously reported to the House of Representatives.
