Accreditation and voting have begun in the Ondo governorship election, taking place across the state’s 18 local government areas.
Voters started arriving at polling units as early as 7:00 am, and voting officially began around 8:00 am.
In Oke Imikan, Open Space, Alade Ward 02, in Idanre Local Government Area, voting materials arrived promptly on Saturday morning, and the first vote was cast at 8:41 am.
Before voting started, many voters gathered at the polling center to check if their names were listed on the display.
By 8:30 am, more than 50 voters were already in line, waiting for their turn to vote.
INEC officials at the polling unit had explained the voting process to the crowd, reminding them to fold their ballot papers correctly to keep their vote private before placing them in the ballot box.
