South Korean actor Song Jae-Rim was found dead at his home on Tuesday at the age of 39, police have confirmed.
Song’s body was found by a friend who had planned to meet him for lunch around 12:30 p.m. at his residence in Seoul’s Seongdong Ward.
Police reported finding no signs of foul play at the scene, but a note was left behind.
The actor’s family expressed their wish for a private funeral, attended only by close family, and did not disclose a cause of death.
Song Jae-Rim made his acting debut in the 2009 film “Actresses” and became well-known for his role as a loyal warrior in the 2012 drama “Moon Embracing the Sun.”
The 39-year-old later appeared on the reality show “We Got Married” in 2014, which boosted his popularity.
