Bishop T.D. Jakes, the founder of The Potter’s House in Dallas, Texas, experienced a medical emergency while giving a sermon on Sunday.
Reports indicate that Bishop Jakes is in stable condition after the incident, which took place during the service on November 24.
It was gathered that the unexpected event caused concern among both the congregation and online viewers.
The emergency occurred as Bishop Jakes was wrapping up the service with the benediction, following an hour-long sermon.
Church staff and other clergy members quickly assisted him, while the congregation joined in prayer for his recovery.
In a statement, the Potter’s House of Dallas explained that Bishop Jakes “experienced a minor health issue” after delivering his sermon.
“During today’s service, Bishop TD Jakes experienced a slight health incident and received immediate medical attention following his powerful hour-long message.
“Bishop Jakes is stable and under the care of medical professionals.
“The entire Potter’s House family is grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from the community.
“Thank you for your understanding and continued prayers,” the statement reads.
