Olajumoke Orisaguna, the model famously known as Olajumoke Onibread, has launched her own radio show called “Kilon Shele”.
After a period away from the public eye, the former bread seller turned model returned to the spotlight as a radio host at City FM.
At a press event in Lagos on Wednesday, Orisaguna thanked TY Bello, the photographer who helped catapult her into the limelight in 2016.
She also shared her desire to return to school, admitting that her lack of formal education has been a challenge.
Her new radio show will focus on her personal journey, including the difficult experiences she faced with exploitative managers who took advantage of her lack of education.
Olajumoke also plans to discuss the emotional struggles she encountered during her time away from fame, as well as her path to healing and self-empowerment.
The bread seller turned model said her show will feature motivating conversations with guests who have faced similar difficulties.
“I want to use my platform to share my story, the good and the bad. I want to show that even in the darkest moments, there is hope for a better tomorrow.
“My show will be a beacon of inspiration for those who have faced similar struggles,” she said.
Olajumoke also reflected on past mistakes that strained relationships with people who helped her along the way.
“I have suffered a lot,” she said. “But I thank Azuka and TY Bello for not giving up on me.
“My advice to those coming behind me is to work hard and never bite the finger that feeds them. I made many mistakes, but I’ve learned my lessons and want others to learn from my story.”
Olajumoke first gained fame in 2016 when she unexpectedly walked into a photo shoot with British rapper Tinie Tempah, which was captured by TY Bello.
In 2019, Olajumoke Orisaguna divorced her husband and placed a curse of misfortunes on her follower who challenged her decision to leave her baby just because she attained fame.
