Lil Uzi Vert Donates Over $10,000 To Support Kai Cenat’s Plan To Build School In Nigeria [Video]
American rapper, Lil Uzi Vert has donated over $10,000 to help Twitch streamer, Kai Cenat fund the construction of a school in Nigeria.
During a live stream, Kai Cenat sparked excitement for his upcoming Mafiathon 2 event by announcing that 20% of his streaming revenue would go toward building a school for children in Makoko, Lagos.
Reflecting on a recent trip to Nigeria, Cenat said, “I visited Nigeria not too long ago and I absolutely loved it…I say that to say this for the next 30 days while I’m streaming, 20% of all revenue will be going straight to the school that I am still currently building for the kids of Mokoko.”
Kai Cenat said his vision for a sustainable, fully equipped school, complete with staff, classrooms, and uniforms, and explained that funding would come directly from his streaming revenue for November.
“We will be going out-of-pocket funding this entire project with a full staff, classrooms, uniforms, etc. 20% of November, starting tomorrow,” he explained, giving fans insight into the project’s ambitious scope.
He also showed layout designs for the project, expressing his gratitude to fans for their support, saying, “a lot of this support in the next month will help big! Thank you.”
Adding excitement to Mafiathon 2, Kai Cenat announced that Lil Uzi Vert would join the first day of the event.
During the stream, Lil Uzi Vert surprised him with a $10,000 donation for the school, leaving Cenat visibly amazed.
The two previously collaborated on the hit “Just Wanna Rock,” which has garnered over 166 million views on YouTube, and fans are thrilled to see them come together again for a charitable cause.
Mafiathon 2 kicks off at 6 PM ET, with fans rallying behind Kai Cenat’s mission to support education for Nigerian youth through his fundraising efforts.
