The newly inaugurated governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, has appointed Dr. Cyril Oshiomhole as the Commissioner for Health-designate.
Dr. Cyril is one of the sons of Adams Oshiomhole, the former two-time governor of Edo State who served from 2008 to 2016. He is also currently a senator representing Edo North.
The appointment was announced in a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, on Tuesday in Benin City.
It also announced that Musa Ikhilor has been appointed as Secretary to the State Government, while Samson Osagie will serve as the State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice-designate.
Itua added that these appointments will be officially confirmed by the Edo State House of Assembly once Governor Okpebholo submits their names for approval.
This comes hours after Governor Monday Okpebholo and his deputy, Dennis Idahosa, were sworn into office on Tuesday.
