Bayer Leverkusen manager, Xabi Alonso is likely to sanction the club top striker, Victor Boniface for reckless driving in Germany.
The Nigerian international sparked controversy after sharing a photo of himself using his phone while driving his Mercedes-Benz on a German highway.
The 23-year-old’s actions have drawn significant criticism for being unsafe and irresponsible.
Expressing his disappointment, Alonso told BeIN Sports, “I don’t like it, it’s obviously not good, and of course, it’s not allowed to happen. I haven’t seen Boni, but he knows it’s not allowed.”
The manager emphasized the importance of addressing the incident, adding, “We have to tell him he’s not allowed to do something like this.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Victor Boniface recently voiced his disappointment over being left out of the shortlist for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Men’s Player of the Year award.
