Nigerian Super Eagles star, Victor Boniface has dismissed claims that he ended his four-year relationship with Norwegian influencer, Rikke Hermine Jansen.
Speculation about their split began after the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram, sparking rumors of a breakup.
Adding fuel to the fire, Rikke reportedly deleted most of her Instagram posts, set her profile to private, and left only one post visible.
According to The Sun, a source close to Rikke Hermine reportedly confirmed that their relationship had been under strain for some time, but they continued to maintain appearances online.
Victor returned to Nigeria last month to celebrate Christmas and his birthday with friends and family, while 21-year-old Rikke remained in Norway.
The source also revealed that Rikke had stopped attending Victor’s games this season, hinting at growing distance between the two.
“Yes, they were apart for Christmas, and he seemed to enjoy himself during that time,” the source said.
“She has stopped attending his games this season, and now it appears they are officially done.”
The couple was last seen publicly in May, celebrating Bayer Leverkusen’s Bundesliga title victory. They shared a kiss and took photos with family, marking their last appearance together.
Another report suggested their breakup might have stemmed from Rikke’s demand for a legal marriage without a prenuptial agreement.
The report said Victor Boniface is focused on protecting his financial future, seemed unwilling to agree to Rikke’s demands.
Reacting to the rumors, Victor Boniface dismissed the reports in a fiery statement on X, saying, “Stop posting fake shit you guys know nothing about ……Una go just carry phone without knowing Wetinx Dey sup just post.
“No be everybody be like una sister. So respect urself. Everything you guys say about her Are all LIES.”
Victor Boniface and Rikke Hermine reportedly met in 2021 in Norway. Throughout their relationship, Rikke was a strong supporter of Victor’s career, though he preferred to keep their romance largely private.
KanyiDaily recalls that Bayer Leverkusen manager, Xabi Alonso recently threatened to sanction Victor Boniface for reckless driving in Germany.
