Afrobeats star Timaya has voiced his frustration over the destruction of farmlands in Bayelsa State, blaming herders for the damage.
Taking to his X page, the singer called on the government to intervene, expressing deep concern over the loss of crops and livelihoods in his home state.
Timaya also criticized open grazing, urging herders to embrace modern ranching methods to prevent further destruction.
He wrote, “Pls the government should do something. They are destroying farms in Bayelsa. Aboki, take your in cow inside and feed them. This is so sad.”
KanyiDaily recalls that suspected herders recently attacked the Ugboju community in Benue State’s Agatu Local Government Area, resulting in the tragic deaths of no fewer than 15 persons.
